I'd kinda like Loot, but I can't afford it.Inventory is just fantastically convenient, especially since it starts out unlimited by default.Traits are the best part of any character design system - unique abilities, woop woop.

Skill Books is pretty fantastic in the real world, where there's plenty of instruction manuals on just about everything becoming a polymath with a quick visit to the local bookstore would be great.Observe could potentially be sacrificed, but being able to obtain information from the aether is pretty nice.I take it that having Skills means you can surpass normal human limits and don't suffer skill deterioration (the latter especially probably makes it desirable enough), but the description otherwise is reasonably close to what actual skill acquisition is like. Skills I'm actually somewhat unclear about the effects of, compared to what it would mean to not have it.Cover a good spectrum, and the ability to directly increase Luck seems pretty nice. Attributes I think will be the Fallout SPECIAL stats.Levels will make a lot of things more useful, including the aforementioned HP/MP.Also, restoration of missing HP by chowing down. Food System means I no longer have to eat, useful in a pinch.Adding fast travel to it would be nice, but I can't afford it. Mini-Map could probably be sacrificed, but it's convenient, and plays reasonably well with some other abilities in here (especially Quest+).SP System gives vastly greater stamina, and makes learning mystical martial arts possible.Reads like it would actually be kind of worthless, not protective, if one didn't have Body, but I do, so, a pool of protection against injury. HP System massively increases ones survivability, as long as one has some under their belt.

I'm not going to give it to someone else. The extra 70(!) points help as well, of course. Starts slower, but the idea that they can ultimately become stronger this way than they would normally be tips the scales. Even picking easy mode, points felt a little tight.but that's probably because I want everything, and can't get it.Įdit: Updated build to take advantage of Levels. r/CYOA_stories (Stories based on CYOA posts)
